Learning Environment

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth has a vast suite of facilities and equipment for students to use contained within the main building and one separate smaller building. Students also have their own student services desk within the main building.

There are specialist facilities for subjects including science laboratories, food practical kitchen, textiles room, drama studio and stage, art rooms, design and technology area and designated one to one tutor rooms. Each classroom has its own interactive whiteboard and there are many IT rooms available across the academy. In total, there are 195 computers and 46 laptops for staff and students to access the curriculum.

Our Inclusion area is a further specialist area which supports our students with Special Educational Needs. This area includes two specific teaching rooms with access to computers and laptops, physiotherapy rooms and a hydrotherapy pool.
