Today, the new automated gates have arrived, a positive step forward in increasing the security of the school.
Once the gates are connected to the power and tested, which will hopefully be tomorrow, they will work on a timing system.
The gates will open at 7.55am and remain open until 8.26am, as by this point all students should be in their lessons.
When dropping off students, please do so only using the drop-off zone at the end of the main building. Failure to do so will cause congestion back onto Harrowgate Lane.
The gates will re-open at 2.40pm for the collection of students from the pickup point. Please do not arrive on site before this time, as this will block staff from accessing the gates and cause congestion back onto Harrowgate Lane. Again, please only use the collection point at the end of the main building.
If you arrive on site during the day, for example, to collect a student for an appointment, the new gate will have a buzzer for you to speak to reception. This also applies to the pedestrian footpath.
We expect that there may be some teething issues. Please bear with us whilst we review anything that arises. We hope that you agree that safeguarding is paramount, and this is a positive step forward.
